After high-end gaming laptops, MSI is entering the market of gaming handhelds, as it recently teased its first handheld gaming console to be unveiled at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2024.

MSI Gaming on Thursday released a brief teaser video on its X (formerly Twitter) account showcasing the new handheld device with its signature Dragon-themed design.

As one can see in the short teaser below, MSI refers to the upcoming portable gaming console as a “whole new breed of MSI Dragon is coming.”

While MSI hasn’t shared any detailed information about the new gaming device, a reply from the official X account of Intel Gaming on MSI’s teaser suggests that the console may be powered by an Intel Meteor Lake CPU, specifically the Core Ultra series.

Also, a hardware leaker who goes by the handle @wxnod on X has shared an image of MSI’s new handheld gaming console, which suggests that it will have a design similar to the Asus ROG Ally and Steam Deck OLED. It will also have MSI’s gaming logo on the back, and two offset joysticks surrounded by RGB lighting on either side of the handheld.

Currently, there are no details available on the screen size, processor, or other aspects. We can expect to hear more about MSI’s upcoming handheld device at CES 2024 starting from January 9 through January 12, 2024. Stay tuned!
